Too exhausted and slightly put off by the huge expense of skiing, we opted to explore the landscape of St. Moritz.
The weather was spectacular and our epic walk through the forest surrounding the (currently frozen) lake was magical. We saw several more squirrels - but they were too quick for the camera!
We emerged on the other side of town, and decided to take the cable car up the closest mountain, Corviglia, to its highest peak Piz Nair. Thanks to the clear blue skies, we were rewarded with the most astounding views and felt literally on top of the world! We sipped a cappuccino in the best seat in the house while watching skiers (as young as 3-4) hurtling down the red runs below.
And, of course, we finally built our very first snowmen!
